1. Who you are buying from

1.1. This website (2strokeliquor.co.za) (“the Website”) showcases and markets products under the 2 Stroke Vodka brand.

1.2. All products offered for sale on the Website are manufactured, offered for sale, and sold by The Johannesburg Distilling Company (Pty) Ltd, (“JoDiCo”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a licensed liquor manufacturer holding micro-manufacturing licence number GLB7000014802 issued in terms of the Gauteng Liquor Act 2 of 2003, with its licensed premises at Shop 1, 102 Corlett Drive, Birnam, Johannesburg, South Africa.

1.3. When you place an order on this Website, your contract of sale is concluded with JoDiCo, not with 2 Stroke Vodka or the operator of this Website. All payments are processed through JoDiCo’s point-of-sale system, and JoDiCo is the merchant of record for every transaction.

1.4. All sales are for offsite consumption only, in accordance with the conditions of our licence. No liquor may be consumed on or at our licensed premises or point of dispatch.

2. Age restriction

2.1. It is illegal to sell or supply liquor to any person under the age of 18 in South Africa. By using this Website and placing an order, you warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.

2.2. We reserve the right to require proof of age at any point, including at delivery. If the recipient of an order cannot produce valid identification proving they are 18 or older, the delivery will be refused and the order cancelled. We may retain reasonable delivery and handling costs from any refund in such cases.

2.3. Orders may not be placed on behalf of, or for delivery to, any person under the age of 18.

3. Orders and acceptance

3.1. Displaying products on the Website is an invitation to do business and not a binding offer. An order placed by you constitutes an offer to purchase.

3.2. A binding sale is concluded only when JoDiCo accepts your order and payment is successfully processed through our point-of-sale system. We will confirm acceptance by email or other written communication.

3.3. We may decline or cancel any order at our discretion, including where we suspect the purchaser is under 18, where stock is unavailable, where there is a pricing or product description error, or where acceptance would place us in breach of our licence conditions or any law. If we cancel an order after payment, you will receive a full refund.

4. Pricing and payment

4.1. All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT at the prevailing rate, unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges are shown separately before checkout is completed.

4.2. Payment is processed by JoDiCo through our secure point-of-sale system. Your payment confirmation, invoice, and/or receipt will be issued in the name of The Johannesburg Distilling Company (Pty) Ltd.

4.3. While we take care to ensure pricing is accurate, obvious errors in pricing do not bind us. If an error is discovered after you have paid, we will notify you and offer the choice of paying the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.

5. Delivery

5.1. Delivery is available within South Africa only, to areas serviced by our delivery partners. Estimated delivery times shown at checkout are estimates only.

5.2. Deliveries will only be handed to a person who appears to be, and can verify that they are, 18 years or older. Our couriers are entitled to request identification and to refuse delivery where age cannot be verified.

5.3. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes on receipt of full payment.

5.4. Please inspect your order on delivery and report any damage, breakage, or shortage to us within 48 hours at the contact details below.

6. Returns and refunds

6.1. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) are not affected by these terms.

6.2. Defective or damaged products: if a product is defective, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement or refund, including reasonable return costs, in accordance with the CPA.

6.3. Change of mind: for hygiene and product integrity reasons, we do not accept returns of liquor products where the seal has been broken or the product has been partially consumed, unless the product is defective.

6.4. Refunds are processed by JoDiCo to the original payment method, normally within 7–10 business days of the return being approved.

7. Responsible drinking

7.1. Alcohol is addictive and excessive consumption of alcohol is harmful to your health. We support responsible consumption. Do not drink and drive. Alcohol should not be consumed during pregnancy.

7.2. We reserve the right to limit order quantities where we reasonably believe products are being purchased for unlawful resale or in a manner inconsistent with responsible retailing.

8. Resale prohibited

8.1. Products are sold for personal consumption only. You may not resell products purchased on this Website unless you hold the required liquor licence to do so.

9. Intellectual property

9.1. The 2 Stroke Vodka name, logo, and brand assets are the property of 2 Stroke Vodka and are used on this Website with permission. The Johannesburg Distilling Company name and logo are the property of JoDiCo. Nothing on this Website grants you any right to use these marks.

10. Limitation of liability

10.1. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under the CPA.

10.2. Subject to 10.1, JoDiCo is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this Website or the purchase of products, and our total liability in respect of any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

11. Privacy

11.1. Personal information collected in the course of a sale (including for age verification and delivery) is processed by JoDiCo in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”) and our Privacy Policy.

12. General

12.1. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction over any dispute.

12.2. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full force.

12.3. We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on the Website at the time you place your order applies to that order.
